As a preliminary analysis, we discovered that two specific shapes, a circle and a line, react differently to wind and air movement within a simple volume. We decided to use these two primary forms and position them in the space to create a multitude of effects that would enhance the fundamental concept. To increase the complexity of the wind effects, we transformed the line into a circle and the circle into a line at the center of the space. Next, we analyzed wind speeds in the volume plan and section at various locations. Then, after deciding that the project would be an art school, we conducted a more precise analysis of the program to determine the air exchange requirements for each element. Finally, using software, we cross-referenced the program data and analysis to position the program elements effectively within the space. Finally, we identified an actual location, a virgin land in Saint-Brieuc that had the necessary assets to facilitate proper airflow to set up the project. As a result, the volume is now adaptable to contextual factors and complexity.
